World Health Day
A Seminar was held on Bone’s Health at Dolphin Institute
Dolphin Institute organized a seminar on Bone’s Health on the occasion of World Health Day. The programme was conducted in joint collaboration with departments of Physiotherapy & Medical Lab Technology of the institute.
The expert of the workshop was Orthopaedic Surgeon of Max Hospital Dr.Himanshu Kochhar and he said that as the age increases, the minerals calcium reduces in the bones. He told that it can be fulfilled by adding Milk, Curd, Mattha & dark green leafy vegetables in the food. He further told if the teeth becomes weak or bones sounds during the body movement in the age of 40, it indicates the deficiency of calcium in bones. He advised that healthy food and half an hour running in slow motion for 4 times a week will fulfill the calcium in the bones. He said that it is difficult to repair the bones in old age.
The programme was organised in leadership of Dr. A. K. Malik. Dr.Deepti Warikkoo, Shree Aditya Swaroop, Dr.Sunil Bhatt, Dr.Richa Agarwal and Smt. Rashmi Chauhan also attended the programme
