WOMEN CONCLAVE by the Department of Physiotherapy, DIBNS, in association with IAP Women Cell
Department of Physiotherapy, DIBNS, in association with IAP Women Cell organized WOMEN CONCLAVE on 28 May 2022 on the theme Women’s Health and Rights. The conclave aimed at informing participants about women’s rights and their general and reproductive health.
Ex-Director General Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand Dr. Asha Mathur, and Patron HOD, Department of Physiotherapy SBS University Dr Reena Kumari graced the introductory session of the conclave. Coordinator IQAC DIBNS Dr Shruti Sharma delivered the welcome address and Organizing Secretary of the event Dr Deptee Warikoo explained the aim and purpose of the conclave. Dr Keerty Mathur compered the entire event.
Professor and HOD, Dept. Of Physiotherapy, Punjabi University was Dr. Narinder Kaur Multani delivered a lecture on Menstrual Dysfunction from a physiotherapist’s standpoint. HOD, Department of Physiotherapy, SGRRIMS Dr Tarang Srivastava spoke on Post Natal care of Mother and Child. Research Author, Rutgers University, USA Sumati Thusoo’s talk focused on Women’s moments in India and Associate Professor, SGRRIMS Dr P Nandita deliberated on Female-specific Problems in Sports. Associate Professor, SIPAS Dr Manmeet discussed on female nutrition and other various aspects.
A poster presentation was also organized with the theme “Role of Physiotherapy in Female Health”. Angelina and the group from DIMS won the first prize Beenu and Shivangi from DIBNS banned the second prize and the third prize was won by Sudhanshi and Group DIBNS. A consolation prize was given to Ayushi and a group from SGRRIMS.
