Prof. Jagmohan Singh Rana, a renowned Physicist, educational thinker and also an honourable member of the Uttarakhand public service commission Uttarakhand, inaugurated the workshop and gave best wishes. He stressed and traced the roots of science to Ancient era.. In addition to this, he elaborated upon how we can draw ideas from our ancient achievements in the field of science and blend them with Modern science.
The aim of the workshop was to kindle the spark of scientific curiosity among the children who came all the way from different nooks and corners of Uttarakhand.
The idea of the workshop was to impart hands-on- experimentation to the participants. The workshop module was designed to offer experiential learning to the students.
Also, efforts were made to keep the workshop relatable so that the students get an instant connection with the program. Besides , as a part of the exposure visit, students performed experiments in well-equipped laboratories. All the practicals were largely in accordance with their NCERT science textbooks & syllabus which would eventually be helping them in their ensuing board exam.
