National Education Policy:2020
The internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college organized a one-day online workshop on “National Education Policy:2020” on 19th August 2021, The objective of the workshop was to create awareness on the newly launched National Education Policy: 2020, amongst teachers, students, officials, and other stakeholders in the higher education system. The resource person was an eminent educationist, Prof. (Dr.). S. Sankar, Advisor IQAC Cluster India and ANR College, Gudivara (A.P.).
Dr. S. Sankar shared the vision of the proposed New Higher Education Policy with a focus on the following main elements, i.e., students enrolling in the Higher Education System, holistic and multidisciplinary education and Educational Technology, and Online Education. He also shed light on the current state of the Learning Crisis, which gave way to the creation of this new structure both in Schools and HEIs. He emphasized the importance of applying the holistic and multidisciplinary learning approach that will help the learners adapt and reinvent themselves to the demands of the new hybrid work culture and dynamic socio-cultural changes. He also highlighted the National Educational Technology Forum which provides independent evidence-based advice, builds institutional and intellectual capacities, envisions strategic thrust, articulates new directions, and also research.
Dr. Sankar concluded the session by emphasizing the challenges faced in accessing online and offline content. At the end of the session, he answered the questions from the participants. Dr. Shailja Pant, Principal, DIBNS welcomed the Guest Speaker. The session was moderated by Dr. Arun Kumar, Director DIBNS, and Dr. Asheesh Raturi, Workshop Coordinator. Dr. Shruti Sharma, Coordinator IQAC, proposed a formal Vote of Thanks. The faculty of the institute were present, besides several participants from various educational institutions participated in the workshop.
