DAV PG College won the HNBGU Boy’s Intercollegiate Football Championship
HNB Garhwal Central University, Srinagar, Garhwal Intercollegiate Football Championship 2022 was organized by Dolphin PG Institute, Dehradun from 15-17 November 2022.
In the Boy’s competition, 11 teams participated from various colleges affiliated with HNBGU, Srinagar. In the first Semi-final, DAV PG college defeated BFIT by 1-0, and in the second Semi-Final Birla Campus, Srinagar defeated SGRR by 1-0. The cutthroat competition was seen in the final match between DAV and Birla Campus. Both the teams scored 2-2 in the match, and the score was the same at 2-2 in the first penalty shootout. It was only in the penalty shoot-out that DAV defeated Birla Campus by 1-0 and lifted the Trophy.
In the Girl’s Competition, 5 teams participated. The final was played between DAV PG College and Birla Campus. Birla College lifted the Trophy defeating DAV by 1-0. Deepika from Birla Campus Girl’s team and Akash Chaudhary from DAV PG College were declared the best players in Girls & Boys respectively. Dr. GN Sinha Head Department of Education gave away the trophies and certificates to the winners.
Organising Secretary and Sports Officer Shri NK Joshi thanked the referees Shri Ajay Gusain, Shri Pramod Negi, and Shri Surendra Singh Bisht for their contribution. He also thanked team managers, officials, staff, and students. There were two officials from HNBGU, Srinagar – Dr. Ramesh Rawat, Observer, and Shri Jagmohan Singh Negi, Selector.
Name: Serlyn Beypi Program and Batch: B.Sc. forestry 2017-2021 Current position: Forest Ranger Karbi angling district (Assam) Brief : Ms. Serlyn Beypi completes her B.Sc. degree during 2017-2021 in Forestry from Dolphin PG Institute. She was very active in her studies and has a great potential of sport spirit.
