Introduction
The Institute has a full time placement cell to provide counselling and assistance to our students in finding right type of career opportunities. The cell has a strong network with the leading Industries and research institutes all over India. It also regularly invites companies for campus placements. The training and counseling office also look after training programmes and opportunities for students to undertake their dissertation work and summer trainings, which are mandatory as per their course curriculum and university norms.
The Placement and Training cell provides the formal suppoCompany’s data basert base for placement of final year students by arranging campus interviews and grooming students to face the final test of their knowledge. The institute is equipped with suitable infrastructure for holding pre-placement discussions and for conducting interviews.
The Placement Office is fully automated for placement data handling and communication.
The Placement cell has a core committee. The core committee includes faculty and student representatives of various disciplines. The ‘Core Members’ headed by the Additional Director including Placement Officer, Placement Executive, faculty and student representative effectively manage the working of the cell.
Our past and present students have been absorbed in many reputed and leading companies, like Alembic Ltd., Apollo Hospital, Biocon Ltd., Biological E Ltd., Cipla Laboratories Ltd., Coca Cola, Colgate Palmolive Ltd., Dr. Lal Pathology Labs, Dr. Morepen Laboratories Ltd., Elder Pharmaceuticals Ltd. to name a few. Similarly many of our students are serving with excellence in leading research institutes of the country namely AIIMS, TIFR, CDRI, IARI, FRI and CSIR. We are proud that our graduates and post graduates are also excelling in leading hospitals like Fortis, Apollo, Kailash and Medanta.
Placement Activities :
Company’s data base
The cell maintains an updated list of concerned MNCs/domestic industries / hospitals and maintains good liaisoning with the officials of concerned organizations for placement and training of students. The cell also encourages students to approach the companies independently in case the company does not have a policy of campus recruitment.
Student’s data base
The cell maintains a branch-wise resumes of all current final year students in a data base. Depending on the requirements prescribed by the company/ industry/ hospital, the eligible candidates are invited to appear for the test/interview conducted by the visiting companies.
The P & T cell also maintains a list of passed out batches of the students (alumni) and forward this list to companies who specifically need pass-out students or try to hold job interviews for them in campus itself.
Correspondence with Industries:
Invitations are sent to the prospective companies/ industries (along with all relevant information) to participate in the campus recruitment. Regular correspondence is maintained with the prospective employers. Personal visits by the Placement Officer and Placement Executive to several companies and industries also serve to build and maintain relations with the corporate world.

Interactive Session: “Personality Development & Communication Skill Enhancement”
T & P Cell of the institute has conducted interactive session on Personality Development & Communication Skills enhancement by Mr. Rahul Mishra, Director, Officers Academy, Dehradun on the dates 28th September 2019, 19th October 2019, 16th November 2019, 23rd November 2019, 30th November 2019 and 14th December 2019 respectively. The Programme was organised for the final year Students of the institute. In the session Mr. Rahul Mishra interacted with the participants on various aspects of personality and also discussed a lot of methods & techniques to enhance the communication skills. Students were also convinced with him and they also asked lot of questions on setting up the goals, time management, behaviour, thoughts, analysis of situation and work management etc.
Campus Interview Allen Career Institute, Kota, Rajsthan
Training & Placement Cell of the institute arranged a Campus Interview for Allen Career Institute, Kota, Rajsthan on 28.08.2019 for the final year and passed out students of Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Biochemistry of the institute. Officials of Allen Career institute respectively Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Dr. Vikas Srivastav, Dr. Gaurav Maheshwari and Dr. Hiten Patil conducted written test and demo lecture for 16 participating final year and passed out students of the institute.
Campus Interview CYNET HEALTH (A US MNC)
T & P Cell of the institute arranged a campus interview by CYNET HEALTH (A US MNC) on 05.02.2020. There were 82 students and 37 students were shortlisted for II round and 18 were shortlisted for III round in written examination conducted by the officials of the company. Finally 12 students were selected after III round. The IV round of interview was held in Dehradun premises of the company at Doon Business Park, Transport Nagar, Dehradun on 07.02.2020. A Pool Campus Drive was held at Dolphin PG Institute, Dehradun by Nectar Life Sciences Ltd. Derabassi (Punjab) on 13.03.2020. The following students were selected from Dolphin (PG) Institute:

Faculty Development Programme
Training and Placement Cell of the institute organized a workshop under Faculty Development Program (FDP) with TIMES Group. The key highlights of the 1st session were – Teaching & Learning, Serving students, Teaching effectiveness, Content knowledge. The second session included activity based learning as Bonding, Peer learning, Rejuvenating, Soft skills and Experience sharing. 50 faculty members of the institute attended the programme
Training (RAWE)
Training and Placement Cell of the institute arranged 15 days training for six students of B. Sc. Agriculture, 2017- 2021 Batch of the institute on “Rural Agriculture Work Experience Programme (RAWE)”from 1st April 2021 to 15th April 2021 at Dehradun by Naman Seva Samiti on “Hans Foundation” inclusive Organic Farming, which was focused on farm and off farm activity. The benifited students of this training were Mr. Gaurav Tiwari, Mr. Satyam Kumar, Mr. Satyam Vinayak Trivedi, Mr. Sparsh Tiwari, Mr. Anis Kumar Rai and Mr. Biswajeet Suman.
Career counselling programme
Training and Placement Cell of the institute organized a Career counselling programme for the final year post graduate students of the institute on 20th February 2021. Principal of the institute Dr. Shailja Pant along with Additional Director Mr. V. K. Nagpal dilivered with the 57 post graduate students from Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals Chemistry on various topics like career opportunities in govt. and private sectors, campus and professional life difference, strength and weakness, positive attitude, team work, planning and execution of personal and professional work and interview tips. The students have also asked a lot of questions on which they were satisfied by the officials.
Industry Academia Interaction: Bridging the gap programme:
Interactive Session
Training and Placement Cell of the institute organized an “Industry Academia Interaction: Bridging the gap programme” on 6th March 2021. In this session the guest speaker and Director of G.M.P. Pharma Institute Pvt. Ltd. Dhradun, Dr. Sumannt Baaukhandi (who was holding more than 25 years of experience in academics, research and Pharma industry), discussed with 33 final year post graduate students of the institute on “Career Opportunities in Various Industries and expectation of industry from the fresher students”. Most of the post graduate students from Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals Chemistry have actively participated in the above programme. Most of them have also told that the programme a turning point, while they were moving towards finalizing their career path.
Webinar organised
Training & Placement Cell organised a webinar in association with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Oxfam India organising on “Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on Corporate Water Stewardship: Encouraging Water Stewardship” on 8th January 2021 at 11:00 am to understand, discuss and develop an integrated framework that fosters dialogue and encourages uptake of water stewardship approaches among various stakeholders, with focus on the major water related issues in the Mahakali basin. Among other participants from all over India, 34 faculty members and students from various departments of the institute have also participated in the webinar.
Training & Placement Cell organised another webinar in association with PHD Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre, New Delhi and Talwar Advocates on topic Interactive Session on IPR, Creators Rights and Innovation Management Master Class on Wednesday 10th February 2021 (At 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm). The objective of this session was to provide knowledge on basics of IPR, Legal Due Diligence, Importance of copyright and Rights vested with the creators of an Original Work, Important Contracts, How to develop Patent’s Strategies and Managing your IP. Among other participants from all over India, 33 faculty members and students from various departments of the institute have also participated in the webinar.
